Storyboard
This is my storyboard for my thriller opening I must apologise for my crude drawings done in paint my drawings arent much better quility and i would of done double the work for the same quality. The thrillers name is Spectre, the titles based of the main charecter a secret agent whose after those who betrayed him, he has a past and wears a mask swearing never to take it off until he has gained vengence on his betrayers, the mask itself is a symbolic sign of his inner darkness. Along the way he meets old friends and foes eventually he kills the betrayers and reinstated to the secret services upon being proven innocence, he then decides to keep the mask on during future missions to remind him of his past. the opening is Spectre (or maxamillian Jaggerweis as reveiled later from an old SAS friend) taking down one of his betrayers and getting his revenge, in the first screen man 1 leaves his house and walks down the road, in screen 2 he hears a scream and carefully investigates, in screen 3 spectre appears and man 1 runs, 4 spectre gives chase, in screen 5 man 1 thinks hes lost spectre only to have him standing behind him and have his neck broken, in the final screen the movie title is shown. I would also like to state that this movie idea is completely fabricated by Mathew Brereton and there shouldnt be a movie like it as the ideas used were formulated for use in media studies work.

The past
This is a media studies project made by a past year group that i found on youtube and thought worked well both the continuity and camera angles work well, i fell that this film would be good inspiration for mine.

Quick poster Idea
Before any one says yes i did get this idea from the terminator 3 posters because they felt mysterious and powerful this poster focuses on spectres right eye with light reflecting off it this represents his two sides and the fact that its on his right eye makes him look sad or like hes peering into your very soul which always makes me feel uneasy yet safe because its like the t-101 scary yet you feel safe when he looks at you at least thats what i was going for.

Another movie game
This is yet another Game that looks like a big budget film, the Game is mass effect and it seems like james camerons avatar with use of low angle shots to keep the watcher wondering what shepard looks like (if you are watching someone play and didnt see the character creation screen), use of close ups show shepards scares so the audience instantly knows hes battle hardened, the opening diolouge gives a brief summary of who he is and what hes done, coupled with the opening text this sets the seen like any good movie, its a little remoniscent of the original terminator opening. This is another Game that shows how movies are Equaled if not surpassed by games in current years.

Game or movie
This is the opening cinematic for metal gear solid 4 this obviously not a movie but its worth looking at due to the fact that more and more gamed are becoming like movies and this opening uses a great voice over coupled with a good sound track and a use of camera angles that you would expect from amovie such as close ups, point of view and even a shakey camera used to make the watcher feel immersed. I picked this one inparticular because of its reputation of being more of a movie than a game.
zombolical

This scene is one of the last, in this scene the main character is so focused on recording this event so that the whole world can see what they went through and whats going on that he is willing to let him self get killed, this is a reference to whats said all through the movie, "If it isn't on camera it's like it never even happened"
