Evaluation

1. what ways does my project challenge conventions?
my project challenges conventions as the opening give no clue as to The Spectre being a good guy, he breaks someones neck who at the time appears innocent, a few movies have an anti hero but from the start the Spectre appears to be a pure cold blooded killer, my project uses a convention seen in many movies which is the bad guy wearing a mask this makes the audience instantly distrust the Spectre due to the stereotype of people hiding something sinister. Back to the question my project both uses and challanges conventions in many ways.
2. How does my film represent certain social groups?
In all honesty my project shows only two people and no one else so it doesnt realy represent any one however the mask could represent the insanity or darknesss within in us all, it could also mean that we all wear masks when out in public to hide our real selves either due to fear of persecution, low self confidence or even to hide our anger at fellow humans the project represents not one social group but because of the incorporation of a mask it could be considered to represent us all and what we hide.
3.How would my film be distributed? if it were made in full and had a bigger budget with real actors and a crew i feel that the my project would be distributed at smaller film festivals like sundance or be realeased to smaller more independant cinemas in england like the one in Hanley which show smaller more independant films, as it is however it would be lucky to make it on YouTube.
4.What is my target audience?
The target audience would be teenagers as they could view the violance and understand the message behind Spectres mask also the mature subject matter would make the Rating a 15.
5. How would I attract my audience?
I would attract my audience like most small movies, use of the internet where i could reach a wide audience and the costs would be cheap, another idea would be to use posters in small indepent cinemas were a niche audience would see the posters and watch.
6.What have I learned over this course.
Ive learned how to use the editing tool pinacle studio 10 to better edit my footage with better transition effects, some of which I have put into my final edit. I have also learned that pinacle studio 10 splits the clips up better than movie maker.
7. looking at my prelim how have I improved?Since my prelim I have learned how to better place my footage and how to better edit it, I have also learned how to better pick location and where to place my camera if I want a speciffic angle such as the shot in my movie where only the feet are seen. looking at my prelim I have looked and realised that my theory of the search for improvement never ends, looking at my prelim and mock ups i realise that even if you try your best you can always do better and improve.
